Making Yoga accessible to all ages and abilities!

Simone Yoga, based in and around East Grinstead, offers classes face to face and online for all ages and abilities. All the classes are relaxed and friendly. Yoga is an excellent way to stretch, build strength, balance, coordination, mobility and flexibility.

The sessions use the breath helping to calm and relax the mind and body. Yoga is a great tool to promote positive mental and physical well being. Classes can be adapted to suit a gentle to more stronger pace of practice.

Simone Yoga is insured and trained to teach adults, teens, children, prenatal, chair and 1-2-1s as well as in schools, clubs, offices and more!

Hi, I'm Simone. I live and work in East Grinstead. I have been practising Yoga for over 9 years. I started my Yoga journey when I joined a mum and baby Yoga class and loved it. I enjoyed it so much I decided to attend Yoga regularly and started practising at home too.

I love Yoga for many reasons: the time for myself to quieten the mind, concentrate on my breathing and relax, as well as its wonderful strengthening and flexibility qualities it gives the body and mind.

Yoga is for everyone and it is a privilege to teach, in my regular classes or as a cover teacher. I enjoy teaching all abilities and ages. Yoga isn't about touching your toes or being flexible it is about being in the moment and finding the peace within.

I have mainly practised Hatha Yoga over the years. Hatha is a branch of Yoga that focuses on the body, mind and breath. I like to bring Yoga into everyday life using the Hatha Yoga philosophy - to be in the moment and have a peaceful mind, but this does not always happen as a Mum of two young boys! I’m able to work around my two boys and my volunteer role as a Beaver Scout Team Leader.

I completed my 230 hours Yoga teacher training with Jody Lawrance at Akasha Yoga Academy, fully accredited by Independent Yoga Network. I have also completed:

  • Arhanta Yoga 50 hours Kids and Teens Yoga

  • Arhanta Yoga 85 hours Prenatal Teacher Training course

  • Yuva Yoga 40 hours Chair Based Yoga training

  • Sussex Yoga Training Ltd 8 hours Teaching Vinyasa training

  • Yoga Akasha Samadhi Pada Yoga Sutra Sanskrit Chanting Course

  • Fully insured and first aid trained

I have also been fortunate enough to attend classes taught by Acharya Venkatesha and Acharye Hema, from the Atma Vikasa School of Yoga, in Mysore, India, when they visited the UK in 2016 and 2017.
